These unmounted flap wheels feature premium aluminum oxide abrasive grains paired with thick, rigid cloth flaps. Compared to paper or film backing counterparts, cloth flaps deliver superior stiffness, thickness and service lifespan for heavy grinding tasks.
As the wheel wears in use, worn outer flaps peel away to expose sharp new aluminum oxide grains continuously, maintaining steady, consistent cutting power throughout the whole service cycle.
The fan-style flap structure offers great adaptability. It fits perfectly for both flat surfaces and curved, contoured, irregular workpieces. Large unmounted flap wheels easily conform to varied profiles, and work exceptionally well on pipes, tubes and all cylindrical materials.
