The spiral band is set over the rubber expanding drum. The expanding drums shank is then inserted into the given tool. Upon the activation of the tool and the spinning of the rubber drum the spiral band is tightly held in place. The rubber expanding drum uses centrifugal force to hold the spiral band no other tools, fasteners or spindle nut is required.

Slide the spiral abrasive band onto the rubber expanding drum, then insert the shank of the expanding drum into your power tool for installation.
Once you start the tool, the rubber drum rotates at high speed. Driven by centrifugal force, the rubber drum expands outward to firmly clamp the spiral band and fix it securely during operation.
